Ladies, you know when you are doing your toilette, putting on moisturiser or makeup and you just don’t seem to have the same youthful look you had a few years ago but you can’t really put your finger on what has changed?
Apparently the key (or one of them) is facial contrast, that means features that pop out. In this article on Time.com says looking youthful may be all about the eyebrows (and lips).
I love, love, love a strong brow. Not the silly cartoon painted on ones that a lot of the 20 somethings are sporting but a strong frame to the face.
Unfortunately, as we get older our eyebrows, as well as our lips, seems to thin and not provide us with the definition we once had. Instead of running to the closest aesthetic clinic, we can utilize products that will help us look a bit fresher without the fear of having a trout pout or painted on Groucho Marx eyebrows.
I started using NeuBrow a few months ago after reading in New Beauty that Hillary Duff swears by it for her fabulous chunky brows — this stuff is great — it fills in the sparse areas and naturally darkens the hair so you won’t need to colour them in. It is not cheap at a go, but it does what it says on the tin. And a tube lasts about 6 months depending upon use.
The other product I discovered, is Fillerina Lip Pump — this is a roll-on gel comprised of six hyaluronic acid molecules that gradually builds up lip volume without any stinging or tingling. It comes in three ‘grades’ depending upon how much volume you have lost in your lips, not how much you want to pump them up.
With the addition of these two products, I feel my face is more like its old or is normal self? As we age, we need more products to just get back to looking normal. It is a pricey business this getting older thing but you must remember that you wear your face every day, it is the first thing people see when they look at you or at least I hope so.
Have you found any better products for brows or lips? Drop me a comment so I can investigate.
